Our Tree Of Hope
Michael Morpurgo
In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, I took part in a concert to raise funds for the people affected by the tragedy. As part of this concert, author Michael Morpurgo wrote a short story titled Our Tree Of Hope, about a child fleeing the war in Ukraine, taking with them a cutting from a weeping willow tree in their local park that is destroyed by shelling.
I created the illustrations for this short story, and they were projected onstage during the livestreamed concert as the piece was narrated.
The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Barn Theatre Cirencester
In this modern film adaptation of the classic novel, the elusive Basil Hallward (played by Russell Tovey) has a YouTube avatar amongst his many guises. In March 2021, I was approached to design this character. I had to capture the final conflict between Basil and Dorian, alongside the conclusion of the piece in just a few expressions.
The small post-production team consisted of the director Tamara Harvey, editor, and myself. The Picture Of Dorian Gray was released in March 2021 to critical acclaim, including Critic’s Pick in the New York Times.

The Brothers Grimm Present: Cinderella
The Barn Theatre Cirencester
As part of my role as Projection Artist for this project, I created several storybook pages that were used as part of the stage design. Inspired by classic folklore and fairytale illustrations, I drew images for the story of Cinderella herself, as well as the tales that she spun.
Peter Pan
The Barn Theatre Cirencester
In December 2020, the Barn Theatre put on a production of Peter Pan that was both performed onstage and livestreamed, due to limitations because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I was asked to be a Projection Artist for this project, working on the illustrations for the mermaids, Tiger Lily, and the pirate ship.
